Seeing Innocence

Seeing innocence (rather than seeing any aspect of life as a problem) is always available in each moment that you choose to look for it.

To see this in yourself and in others can really change not only your world but also the collective outlook of humanity – seeing innocence magnifies innocence.

The best way to find out if this is true is to try it out for yourself.

For an example, take a look at moments when you have been in an argument in the past. Look to see what your own intention was in putting your point across to the other person/s.

When you explore this to its root, you will always see that you meant well at some level, that whatever is being argued about is important to your heart, that it matters to you because you care about it.  As well you will see that that caring, your outlook, arrived here with you out of the blue – you did not make it happen, it just appeared as it did.  Innocence happening.

This same point of origin is always what instigates anyone in an argument. Sometimes there are layers to look at, where at first it might be a neediness to ‘win’ or dominate.  However, if you continue to explore those aspects of yourself, you will see the innocent child who wants to be heard, seen, experienced and welcomed.  Of course!!!

This Satang Invitation is to invite you to consider this about anyone in any moment (yourself included) that even though you may not see the root of the situation right then, that all parties are always innocent; recognizing that the surface fray of energies are only the surface and if we follow them down inside ourselves we will find the innocence.

In recognition of the innocence of the other, even though they may not appear innocent in the moment, this helps to diffuse the power struggle, the energy of the argument.  Much like a child who you can see is upset about something and so is cranky – it is so understandable, they are only being human – to apply this same space that you would give a child to yourself and everyone and then witness how your own experience shifts.
