The Vastness of Love
Even writing that title ‘The Vastness of Love’ and something softens inside of myself. There seems to be a sweet essence in pointing to this Truth of That – of this Vastness, the all inclusive vastness of Love.
Love in this sense is inclusive of all forms of how love shows up; personal and omnipresence.
Why point to That?
Easy answer: to suport a relaxing open to this incredible pool that is Here in each moment just waiting to embrace you!
Embracing you in the thick of crunchy happenings and in the delightful ones.
This pool is the deepest in depth, the largest in circumference, the most non-judgemental, most lovingly embracing….it really cannot be measured, and at the same time, there can be a delight in pointing to it just like this. Ok, so I admit it, I am delighted!
When people speak of how ‘bad’ their details might be, I do not negate that, I can see that they are feeling effected adversely by however the details are presenting themselves in the moment. What I am speaking of is the sort of ‘bigger picture’ that all that appears is happening in – the pool of Love.
As I write that, I know that it sounds like I might ‘know’ something. In one way I do, yes, in the felt sense I can feel the vastness of the pool of love and dive into that no matter what is happening. In another way, as if I ‘know’ something about what is happening within the expression of details, that part I do not know. Sometimes, with Love’s support, I get to understand after it has happened, understanding one more bit of what the play was attempting to tell me at its base note…as Love speaking itself.
To feel pain as love’s embrace, yes, this is an invitation….sometimes Love is ‘polishing the pot’ and sometimes Love is inviting an opening to whatever is happening so you might actually feel Love’s embrace as the felt sense of Being Loved directly. Squeezed by that so hard that, like the milk that came out of the cheese that David held out to Goliath, your eyes will water. The ‘way’ that love speaks to you personally is equal to the vastness of that, which is unlimited, without end and we, us humans, get to experience this without knowing what it is all about…except that we are being loved.
When the moment is explored personally by you, in any avenue that at first might not look so loving, you will find this too.
Check it out for yourself.
Your mind may be baulking at what I am writing. It might come up with all sorts of scenarios of what is happening on this earth that is not loving nor does it look to be coming from a vastness of Love. However, if you come into the moment that you are experiencing, see how the details of those scenarios disturb you inside, sit with, breathe and feel that disturbance, you too will be shown the very same vastness that I am pointing to.
It might take a little practice to listen to yourself in this different way. It might take some practice to learn how to not listen so much to the content of the thoughts that the mind offers up in any moment and to shift instead to how you feel, how the energy feels, how you feel in response to it all right now (not what you think about it all).
